This track was recorded using a Tempo guitar that my mother purchased for a dollar at a garage sale when I was about four. The guitar was intended to be a play guitar and only has four strings, three of which work. I tuned it to E and liked the way it sounded.
lyrics
Welcome to Michigan,
the home of your grandmother’s mother.
I grew up in the south of Florida,
where no one’s ever seen snow fall.
And I am so damn sick of trying.
I’m not ready to go back home.
and I can’t do this anymore.
Welcome to Colorado
the place where your Uncle stayed while he was finding himself.
I always wanted to move to California,
where I can be what I want.
But I am so damn sick of trying.
Yeah, I am so tired of home.
When can I leave again?
